PT61 — Time Statement (RPTEDT00)

PT61 runs report RPTEDT00 to produce a formatted employee time statement. The statement presents time accounts and time wage types determined by Time Evaluation according to the selected form or time-statement settings. PT61 is a reporting/output transaction; it does not maintain time infotypes and should not be confused with PA61, the Maintain Time Data transaction.

This page covers PT61, the dedicated correction screen for time infotypes used after time evaluation has already run for a period. It focuses on why edits made here differ from the same edit made in PA30, and on the diagnostic sequence for cases where a correction is entered but the time results never change.

Purpose

PT61 is the transaction for the classic Time Statement report RPTEDT00. Its job is to format and present Time Evaluation results, especially time accounts and time wage types, for employees. It is not a correction transaction and does not replace PA61 or Time Manager's Workplace for maintaining absences, attendances, or other time infotypes.

When it is used

Use PT61 when employees, payroll/time administrators, or support teams need a formatted statement of evaluated time results for a selected period. It is useful for validating what Time Evaluation produced, explaining time balances or time wage types, and checking whether a configured time-statement form is presenting the expected results.

How to use it in practice

  • Select the employee or employee population and the statement period.
  • Choose the configured time-statement form/variant required by the organization.
  • Execute the report and review the presented time accounts and time wage types.
  • If the statement is blank or wrong, first confirm that PT60/RPTIME00 produced time-evaluation results for that employee and period.
  • Separate a data/evaluation problem from a form-layout problem before changing form configuration.

Key data objects

PT61 is an output/reporting layer over evaluated time results.

  • Personnel selection and statement period — must align with the evaluated period.
  • Time-statement form/variant — controls how evaluated results are formatted and displayed.
  • Time accounts — balances determined by Time Evaluation according to configuration.
  • Time wage types — time-evaluation wage-type results selected for statement output.
  • RPTIME00/PT60 result availability — a prerequisite for many statement values; no statement layout can create evaluation results that do not exist.

How to prove it in the data

Compare the PT61 output with the time-evaluation results/log for the same employee and period. If PT60 contains the expected balance or wage type but PT61 does not show it, investigate the time-statement form/selection. If PT60 never produced the result, correct the time data, schema, or evaluation issue first; changing PT61 formatting will not solve it.

ECC vs S/4HANA

SAP's current Time Management support content still identifies PT61 as RPTEDT00, the time-statement form for presenting time accounts and time wage types. SAP also documents HRFORMS-based time statements, so the exact statement technology used by a customer can vary by implementation.

Common pitfalls and how to diagnose them

  • Confusing PT61 with PA61 — PT61 prints/evaluates a statement; PA61 maintains time data.
  • Trying to fix a wrong time balance in the statement form when PT60 produced the wrong underlying result.
  • Running the statement for a period that has not been evaluated.
  • Using the wrong statement form/variant and concluding that the employee has no time results.

Whose problem this is

Time Management owns the underlying evaluation and statement setup. Form/layout specialists may own PE50 or HRFORMS configuration, while Payroll becomes involved only when the time statement is being reconciled to payroll outcomes.
