RFC_NO_AUTHORITY
RFC call fails with RFC_NO_AUTHORITY
RFC-enabled function call fails because the technical/user account lacks authorization for the called RFC function group/function.
Likely root causes
- S_RFC authorization is missing for the called function group/function.
- Destination uses a user different from the one tested interactively.
- Recent role changes are not active in the remote session.
What to inspect
- SM59 destination user and connection test.
- SU53/STAUTHTRACE in the target system under the RFC user.
- S_RFC object values and function group/function being called.
- SM20/security log when relevant.
Resolution path
- Grant the minimum S_RFC authorization required by the interface.
- Confirm the destination uses the intended technical user.
- Refresh/retest the remote session after role changes.
- Avoid broad wildcard RFC authorization unless explicitly justified and governed.
