Billing document shows a pricing error for an item and may not release correctly to accounting.
Likely root causes
- A mandatory pricing condition is missing or invalid at billing date.
- Pricing date changed so a condition record is no longer valid.
- Required account-assignment/pricing master data is incomplete.
What to inspect
- Billing-item pricing analysis and incompletion/error log.
- Condition validity at the billing pricing date.
- Relevant customer/material pricing master data and mandatory conditions.
Resolution path
- Identify the missing/invalid condition in pricing analysis.
- Correct condition master data or the business date/source data that should select it.
- Reprice according to the intended pricing type and copy-control behavior.
- Verify billing value and accounting release before completion.
