New Asset Accounting

New Asset Accounting (new Asset Accounting / FI-AA in S/4HANA and enabled in later ECC releases) is SAP's ledger-based approach to fixed asset accounting built on the Universal Journal or on parallel ledgers in ECC. It replaces the classic account-approach with a depreciation-area-to-ledger assignment model, real-time posting of all depreciation areas, and integration with General Ledger through accounting principles rather than periodic delta postings.
