Long-Term Planning
Long-Term Planning (LTP) in SAP PP is a simulative planning environment used to model future demand scenarios, run rough-cut and detailed MRP simulations against simulative versions of independent requirements, and evaluate resulting capacity and material requirements without touching operative stock, orders, or procurement proposals. It supports sales and operations planning, business plan validation, capacity investment decisions, and what-if analysis before commitments are transferred into live operative planning.
