Choosing a track

A track is one SAP module or role, seen from the job it leads to. Pick the track that matches the work you do today or the role you are applying for, and the lessons, interview questions, mock tests and tools across the site follow it.

Technical tracks suit developers and administrators: ABAP, RAP and CDS, BTP integration, Basis, and Security and GRC. Functional tracks suit consultants who configure and support a business process, from finance (FI/CO) through procurement (MM), sales (SD), production (PP), maintenance (PM), quality (QM), warehousing (EWM) and transport (TM). Architecture covers the decisions that cut across modules: clean core, extension options, integration patterns and S/4HANA migration.

Not sure which to choose? Freshers usually do best with the module closest to their degree or first job: finance and accounting lead to FI/CO, purchasing or stores to MM, sales operations to SD, production planning to PP, and programming to ABAP. Moving to a neighbouring module later is common, because the process knowledge carries over.
